SPLENDA® tastes so much like sugar for a reason. All our products contain sweet-tasting sucralose: it’s not sugar, but it’s made from sugar. We start with pure cane sugar from Singapore, which is harvested and then goes through an amazing transformation from ordinary cane sugar into an extraordinary sugar alternative – one that tastes like sugar, but isn’t sugar.
We have extremely high quality standards for SPLENDA® Sugar Alternative. It goes through an extensive purification process and more than 50 different quality checks every day in our factory in Italy. Our dedicated checkers ensure every batch is up to scratch, so that we achieve the same great taste.
There have been over 110 studies conducted over the past 20 years on the safety of sucralose. After studying everything from blood sugar and dental health to potential side effects, the research has proved two key things over and over: sucralose has no known side effects and is safe for everyone who wants to enjoy it. Sucralose is one of the most extensively tested food ingredients and is now sold in more than 80 countries and is used in more than 4,000 products.

We have a panel of quality checkers who perform taste tests every day to make sure every batch of our sucralose tastes perfectly sweet. Just like baking, mixing the right combination of ingredients is the key to making something great.
To ensure SPLENDA® Granulated has the perfect level of sweetness in every spoonful, we mix in simple corn-based ingredients, and this ensures it is easy to measure and can be used like sugar in hundreds of delicious recipes.
